Some kindness sites....

1. KarmaKitchen - www.karmakitchen.org
Imagine a restaurant where there are no prices on the menu and where the check reads $0.00 with only this footnote: "Your meal was a gift from someone who came before you. To keep the chain of gifts alive, we invite you to pay it forward for those dine after you."  That's Karma Kitchen, a volunteer-driven experiment in generosity.

2. CharityFocus - www.charityfocus.org
CharityFocus is an experiment in the joy of giving. Our services enable inspired people to contribute in meaningful ways to the world around them. Together, we hope to "be the change we wish to see in the world."

3. Smile Cards - www.helpothers.org
HelpOthers.org -- kindness is contagious. Welcome to a portal dedicated to small acts of kindness.
Starting in September of 2003, smile cards began appearing all around the world. They are markers of a newfangled game of tag, where "you're it" because someone has done something nice for you. Then it's your turn to do something nice for someone else and, in the process, pass the card along. This is a game of pay-it-forward: anonymously make someone smile, leave behind a card asking them to keep the ripple going. It's easy and fun. Is kindness truly contagious?

The Small Things: Share your umbrella with someone who doesn't have one. Write a thank-you note to a mentor or someone who has influenced your life in a positive way. Always say please, thank you, and you're welcome with a smile; you'll get it back! Leave an extra big tip for a friendly waiter or waitress. Defend others. Speak up when you hear someone use a racist remark, whether it's a family member, neighbor, co-worker, friend or stranger. Pick up trash at playgrounds, schoolyards, or other community areas.

4. Smile Deck - A variant of smile cards as a Facebook app
